At the opening ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics held at the PyeongChang Olympic Stadium in Gangwon Province on February 9, 2018, the South and North Korean delegations entered the stadium waving the Korean Peninsula flag. The flag bearers were South Korean bobsledder Won Yun-jong and North Korean women’s ice hockey player Hwang Chung-geum.
