North Korea and Russia are in the final stages of constructing a vehicular bridge connecting the two countries.

The <em>Rodong Sinmun</em>, the official newspaper of North Korea's Workers' Party, reported on Thursday that work to connect the sections of the North Korea-Russia border bridge had successfully progressed on Tuesday. The newspaper stated that this project stems from agreements made during the North Korea-Russia summit in Pyongyang.

The paper also noted that the North Korea-Russia border bridge has been completed in just one year since construction began, and we will soon celebrate its opening. This will strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

On the same page, it was reported that Jo Yong-won, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, met with a Russian delegation led by Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev at Pyongyang's government building on Wednesday.

The front page announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the North Korea-Russia Friendship Hospital in Wonsan on the 22nd. North Korean officials in attendance included First Deputy Prime Minister Kim Tok-hun, Health Minister Kim Du-won, and External Economic Relations Minister Yoon Jong-ho, who chairs the North Korean side of the bilateral economic cooperation committee. Other attendees included local officials and workers from Wonsan.
