Yoon addressed Minister Chung's comments about North Korea's nuclear facilities on Facebook, emphasizing that it must never forget that national security can crumble with just one careless statement.

He noted that following Minister Chung's remarks about nuclear facilities, reports emerged that the U.S. has restricted some satellite intelligence sharing on North Korea, causing significant repercussions. While Minister Chung cited International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) statements and private research to mention Gusong, the IAEA Director General's public comments only confirm Yongbyon and Kangson, without explicitly mentioning Gusong.

Yoon further argued that the 2016 Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) report presented by the Unification Ministry merely estimates nearby facilities and doesn't confirm currently operational enrichment sites. Estimation and confirmation are fundamentally different. Moreover, a minister's statements are interpreted as diplomatic signals, not personal opinions.
