The Japanese government reported on April 19 that multiple missiles launched by North Korea into the Sea of Japan likely fell outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

Japanese media outlets, including TBS, stated that the Ministry of Defense detected the launch of several missiles, possibly ballistic, but no damage to Japanese vessels has been reported thus far.
