The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of North Korea’s Workers’ Party, reported on Thursday that an expanded plenary meeting of the Cabinet Party Committee was held on Wednesday to thoroughly implement the programmatic tasks set forth in the historic policy speech delivered by Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the First Session of the 15th Supreme People’s Assembly / Rodong Sinmun

In the wake of the first session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly, North Korea convened an expanded meeting of the Cabinet Party Committee to discuss strategies for implementing the policy speech delivered by General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

On Thursday, the party's official newspaper, <em>Rodong Sinmun</em>, reported that the expanded meeting had taken place the previous day. Key attendees included Premier Pak Thae-Song, First Deputy Premier Kim Tok-hun, and Deputy Premier and National Planning Committee Chairman Park Jong-geun.

The participants characterized Kim's policy speech as a comprehensive blueprint for national development and deliberated on a draft resolution to ensure its effective implementation.

The resolution stipulated that the Cabinet and party organizations within each ministry and central agency must uphold the party's strategic line and promote organizational and political initiatives to reinforce ideological unity.

Furthermore, the meeting outlined plans to intensify efforts in advancing the three revolutions (ideological, technological, and cultural), grounded in the principles of self-reliance, independence, and prioritizing the masses.

The resolution also detailed measures to bolster leadership efforts aimed at thoroughly executing the party's economic development strategy and the new five-year plan.

It addressed issues related to strengthening the socialist way of life and moral discipline across society, as well as ensuring that state economic guidance officials remain committed to their duties, thereby enhancing internal control mechanisms.

According to the newspaper, the meeting unanimously adopted the resolution.

In the ensuing discussion, participants expressed their unwavering commitment to faithfully implement the central party's directives, emphasizing the importance of mobilizing public support and mental fortitude to achieve their objectives.

Previously, from February 22 to 23, North Korea held the first session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly, during which it finalized constitutional amendments, approved a new national economic development five-year plan, and set this year's budget. In his policy speech, Kim outlined a governance strategy aimed at simultaneously boosting economic growth and improving living standards for the populace, while pursuing self-reliance and strengthening the nation's nuclear deterrent.
