The Workers' Party's official newspaper, <em>Rodong Sinmun</em>, reported on its front page on Wednesday that the 9th Congress is continuing substantive discussions. The paper noted that research and consultations are progressing in various sectors, including the economy, national defense, foreign affairs, and party activities.

According to the newspaper, Kim Jong Un, the General Secretary of the Party, directed discussions on sectoral strategies and plans based on the comprehensive report of the 8th Central Committee's work and key conclusions. The consultations focused on developing scientific and rational plans to implement the overall goals and principles of the five-year strategy across all aspects of socialist construction. The results of these collective discussions are being incorporated into the draft of the conference resolution by the designated committee.
