North Korean leader Kim Jong Un conducted an inspection of a key military production facility, focusing on missile and artillery shell manufacturing.

The state-run <em>Rodong Sinmun </em>reported on its front page on Friday that Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, visited critical defense industry enterprises to assess missile and shell production for the fourth quarter.

Kim stressed that the Missile Bureau and relevant departments of the Second Economic Committee must be fully prepared to unconditionally accept and implement the modernization and production targets to be set at the upcoming 9th Party Congress.
