The Workers' Party of Korea's official newspaper,<em> Rodong Sinmun</em>, reported on Sunday that the past decade has been marked by a path of self-reliance, which has led the people to great victories. This reflects the sacred 80-year history of the Workers' Party of Korea, underscoring that strengthening self-reliance is key to economic development.

The newspaper noted that this year marks the significant 80th anniversary of the party's foundation and is also the final year of the 8th Central Committee's term, which concludes in 2025. The atmosphere at the plenary meeting was solemn as they needed to present tasks for the coming year and discuss execution plans.
