North Korea Goes Quiet After South Halts Loudspeakers

South Korean loudspeakers installed at border outposts in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, are broadcasting messages towards North Korea in response to the North's propaganda balloon launch on July 21 last year. This marks North Korea's 9th such launch this year. The South Korean military has expanded its operations from limited relay broadcasts using fixed loudspeakers on the western, central, and eastern fronts to simultaneous broadcasts from all forward-area loudspeakers. 2024.7.21 / News1
