Rising K-pop sensation Rescene has skyrocketed to the top of Melon's Top 100 chart with their latest single "With" on the day of its release. The group also shattered their previous album sales record.

The Muse Entertainment, Rescene's agency, reported that the title track "With" from their fourth mini-album PULSE, released on Monday at 6:00 p.m. (KST), clinched the No. 1 spot on Melon's Top 100 chart by 8:00 p.m. (KST), just two hours after its debut.

The album's success extended beyond the title track, with all five songs from PULSE securing positions in the Melon Top 100 on release day.

As of 9 AM the following day, "With" maintained its reign at No. 1 on the Top 100. "Inside Out" followed at No. 6, while "Finest Sing" claimed the 8th spot. "Mimi" and "Dragon" rounded out the group's chart dominance at No. 11 and No. 13, respectively.

Album sales for PULSE have already outpaced the first-week figures of their previous release in just 24 hours. Hanteo Chart reported that the album, available in nine versions, moved approximately 130,000 units on November 3 alone.

This impressive figure dwarfs the 104,400 copies sold in the first week for their previous album, Bloom. With Rescene achieving a career milestone on day one, industry insiders are buzzing about what records the group might set with this release.

PULSE is a five-track mini-album, including the title song. The album's concept draws a parallel between a heartbeat and the moment when a song, once shared, returns as a voice of empowerment.

The title track "With" paints a vivid picture of chasing after a calling voice and finally meeting a long-awaited soulmate. The song's structure is notable for its lyrical intro that builds to a powerful chorus, punctuated by an infectious, repetitive hook.

Rescene, who debuted in March 2024 with the single "Re:Scene," became a viral sensation earlier this year thanks to member Won's personal YouTube channel, "Hello, I'm Woni. Nice to Meet You." The group's popularity further soared when member Minami's "Geoje Yahoo" catchphrase became a widespread meme, catalyzing a resurgence of their previous hit "Love Attack."

This momentum propelled "Love Attack" to the top of Melon's Top 100 in July. Their cover of Kara's "Pretty Girl" also dominated the charts, reaching No. 1 on Melon's Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Top 100.

Having cemented their status as trendsetters through the unexpected revival of their earlier tracks, Rescene's latest original release has now debuted at No. 1 on the Top 100, further solidifying their meteoric rise. As the group continues to break records in both streaming and physical album sales, all eyes are on Rescene's next moves in the ever-competitive K-pop landscape.
