Former IZ*ONE member YENA, who has carved out a distinctive solo career, is now setting her sights on a hit duet.

YH Entertainment announced that YENA will drop her new digital single "A Rare Woman (Feat. NOWIMYOUNG)" on various music platforms at 6:00 p.m. (KST) on Friday.

This release marks YENA's first new track in seven months, following her fifth mini-album Love Catcher from March.

"A Rare Woman" reimagines the opening track from Block B's 2014 fourth mini-album H.E.R.

While the original playfully expressed attraction, this fresh take spotlights a flirtatious exchange between YENA, who declares herself a rare woman, and her younger pursuer, NOWIMYOUNG. Their chemistry sizzles through contrasting vocal tones in a captivating back-and-forth.

YENA previously teased fans with a live performance of the track alongside NOWIMYOUNG during her August encore concert From Square One, A World That Seems Within Reach: The Movie, building anticipation for the studio version.

YENA burst onto the K-pop scene in 2018 as a multi-talented member of the project group IZ*ONE, showcasing her skills in vocals, rap, and dance. Following the group's disbandment, she launched her solo career in January 2022 with the mini-album SMiLEY, quickly turning heads with her effervescent energy and unique artistic vision.

She's been on a hot streak, scoring hits with "SMiLEY," "NEMONEMO," "Being a Good Girl Hurts," and "Catch Catch." Her latest banger, "Catch Catch," has racked up over 100 million Spotify streams and peaked at #4 on the competitive Melon Top 100 chart.

Riding high on the success of "Catch Catch," YENA joins forces with NOWIMYOUNG, the breakout rapper who recently clinched the runner-up spot on "Show Me the Money 12" and dominated charts with his competition track "Kiss Kiss Kiss."

YENA is no stranger to collaborations, having previously teamed up with BIBI on "SMiLEY," rapper BIO on "Love War," and i-dle's Yuqi on "Hate Rodrigo." Each partnership showcased her versatility and earned critical acclaim. Now, fans are buzzing to hear what magic YENA and NOWIMYOUNG will create together.
