Crypto.com's affiliate, the derivatives exchange OG.com, has been granted approval to offer stock futures trading in the U.S.

Chris Marszalek, co-founder and Chief Executive Officrr (CEO) of Crypto.com, announced via X on Thursday that OG.com, their affiliated futures exchange, has received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

OG.com's operating entity submitted Form 1-N to the SEC on Monday. This form is required when a Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) designated contract market (DCM) seeks registration as a national securities exchange to support securities futures trading.

The individual stock futures OG.com plans to offer are futures products based on the stock prices of specific companies. OG.com intends to facilitate trading of these products as perpetual futures without expiration dates.

This approval marks a significant milestone, as it represents the first instance of a cryptocurrency exchange connecting with the U.S. stock market. OG.com is a derivatives trading platform that spun off from the major cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com.

Marszalek stated that they are working closely with the SEC and CFTC to provide individual stock perpetual futures, which aim to combine innovation in the digital asset market with integration into U.S. capital markets.
