Samsung Electronics said its new Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8 are proving especially popular among younger consumers during the preorder period.

The company said on July 31 that more than half of customers who preordered the Galaxy Z8 series through Samsung.com since July 28 were in their teens, 20s or 30s.

Among younger buyers, the Galaxy Z Fold8 was the most popular model, with Cream emerging as the top color choice. Pistachio, an exclusive Samsung.com color, and the signature Lavender finish also attracted strong demand.

For the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Graphite and the Samsung.com-exclusive Green Shadow were the most popular colors. For the Galaxy Z Flip8, buyers showed the strongest preference for the Samsung.com-exclusive Mint, followed by Cream and Pink.

During the preorder period, Samsung is offering a complimentary storage upgrade through its Double Storage promotion. Customers who purchase the 256GB version of the Galaxy Z8 series will receive the 512GB model at no additional cost—a value of approximately $169.

Customers who preorder the 512GB versions of the Galaxy Z Fold8 or Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will also receive a discount of approximately $207, equivalent to about half the price difference between the 512GB and 1TB models.

Samsung expects preorder demand to peak this weekend across both online and offline sales channels.

"Young consumers in their teens, 20s and 30s responded strongly from the beginning of the preorder campaign, reflecting growing interest in the immersive experience and new form factor offered by the Galaxy Z8 series," a Samsung Electronics official said. "With the Double Storage promotion and other preorder benefits ending on Aug. 3, we encourage customers considering a purchase to take advantage of the preorder period."
