When the lid of the robot vacuum cleaner (Cyber10 Ultra) opened, a long arm rose up. The robotic arm repeatedly bent and straightened, moving freely up and down, and side to side. At the very end of the robotic arm was a gripper that resembled human fingers. This gripper is designed to pick up objects dropped on the floor during cleaning.

On one side, another robot vacuum cleaner (X60 Pro Ultra) was demonstrated cleaning under a chair while moving. The robot vacuum stretched out its rear leg and wrapped around chair legs while mopping the floor.

Dreame unveiled multiple next-generation robot vacuum products and technologies at its global press event “Dreame NEXT,” held on April 28 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, United States.

‘Robotic arm’ followed by ‘robot joints’…extends up to 18 cm and climbs 42-degree slopes

When the new X60 Pro Ultra robot vacuum cleaner was unveiled at the event, applause erupted from the audience.

The biggest feature of the X60 Pro Ultra is that it goes beyond a simple robotic arm and uses an elbow joint. This is a technology modeled after human biomechanics.

Jeremy Xiao, product manager for Dreame robot vacuum cleaners, introduced the company’s proprietary “dual ultra extend arm” technology, saying the X60 Pro Ultra uses an elbow joint instead of a traditional straight arm to extend its reach.

Dreame’s second-generation robotic arm technology, the “second-generation high-precision extendable arm,” allows cleaning closer to walls and into narrow gaps around obstacles.

It offers a lateral reach of 4.7 inches (11.94 cm) and a mop pad extension distance of 7.1 inches (18.03 cm), enabling deeper and wider cleaning coverage. It can also climb over obstacles up to 10 cm.

Jeremy said, “It is not just an extended arm. It features high-precision biomimetic joints and multi-dynamic control functions, providing 100% edge and corner coverage,” adding, “It is designed to withstand 300,000 operating cycles and includes real-time collision detection and a high-precision folding drive system for multi-stage extension.”

The “Aqua 20 Ultra Pro” was introduced as a product suitable for households with infants or pets. The product features high-temperature washing functions that quickly remove stains and dirt. It also includes steam self-cleaning at 212°F (100°C) and hot washing at 158°F (70°C).

This product can climb slopes up to 42 degrees by capturing vertical dimensions through 3D top navigation. This makes it suitable for most household stairs. It can climb 16 steps in just 27 seconds.

Next-generation robot vacuum technology with upgraded robotic arms was also unveiled. The Cyber10 Ultra, scheduled for release at the end of this year, was the highlight.

The Cyber10 Ultra is equipped with a long robotic arm. When fully extended, the arm is longer than the robot vacuum body itself, making it a literal “arm.” The gripper at the end can pick up or move objects dropped on the floor. This marks an evolution from robot vacuums that only mop floors.

Dreame also unveiled next-generation air conditioners and washing machines equipped with robotic arm technology.

The AI inverter washer and dryer set “L9 Pro” features a four-stage washing algorithm. In the case of the washing machine, it automatically adjusts the optimal amount of water and detergent, maintains quiet operation by adjusting drum movement in real time, checks water turbidity using AI sensors to automatically adjust washing time, and uses high-frequency electromagnetic fields to soften fabrics.

The dryer uses a three-stage closed-loop drying process that dries quickly while protecting fabrics, reducing the risk of overdrying and maintaining garment shape.

An AI-powered laundry robot will also be released. This robot moves around the house, recognizes clothes, picks them up, and places them into the washing machine.

Dreame also introduced air conditioners equipped with robotic arms and AI technology. According to Dreame, the X60 series includes an advanced multidirectional airflow system powered by eight independent models built into the robotic arm, allowing the arm to extend on both sides and expand airflow angles up to 126 degrees. This is about 1.8 times wider than a typical 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air conditioner, which has a maximum airflow angle of 70 degrees.

A Dreame official said, “In the past, home appliances were merely tools, but in the future, devices will think and act on their own,” adding, “This marks the birth of truly intelligent household robots.”
