LG Electronics is gearing up to make its mark on Europe's premium built-in kitchen appliance market, a sector with a rich 100-year history, by introducing a specially designed built-in appliance package.

The company announced on April 23 that it will unveil its LG built-in package for the first time at EuroCucina, the kitchen appliances and furniture fair within Milan Design Week 2026. This world-renowned design exhibition is set to take place in Milan, Italy, from April 20 to 26.

Market research firm Euromonitor projects the global built-in appliance market to reach approximately 64.5 billion USD, with Europe claiming about 40% of that share.

LG Electronics has crafted a European-exclusive built-in appliance package, tailored to the market's unique characteristics and customer needs. This comprehensive kitchen solution combines an oven, induction cooktop, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Homeowners can achieve a cohesive design that complements their kitchen layout and personal taste, with the flexibility to purchase the entire set or gradually replace items during moves or renovations.

Recognizing Europe's abundance of older homes and compact living spaces, LG Electronics has centered the package around products in the 20-inch range.

The company has enhanced hinge and heat dissipation technology to ensure safe and convenient use in tight quarters. They've also implemented a seamless design that minimizes gaps between appliances and cabinetry, reducing protrusions for a sleek, integrated look.

This package also addresses Europe's emphasis on energy efficiency and convenience. LG Electronics has elevated product performance by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into key components like motors and compressors, delivering a smarter user experience.

The dishwasher features the AI SenseClean function, which analyzes dish contamination levels through digital turbidity sensors. It automatically adjusts water temperature, rinse cycles, and detergent amounts across three stages: pre-wash, wash, and rinse. For lighter loads, the system reduces water temperature and rinse cycles to save energy.

The refrigerator includes the AI Fresh feature, which learns users' habits and proactively adjusts temperatures during peak usage times, boosting energy efficiency and keeping food fresher for longer.

These appliances surpass Europe's highest energy efficiency rating. The dishwasher and refrigerator achieve A-30% and A-10% respectively, making them 30% and 10% more energy-efficient than the top A rating.

LG Electronics plans to strengthen its position in the European premium market through a dual-track strategy, leveraging both the LG built-in package and the ultra-premium SKS brand. The company will expand its SKS product line, which has proven successful in North America, to include models over 30 inches in Europe, offering customers a wider range of choices.

Simultaneously, LG aims to accelerate business growth by targeting business-to-business (B2B) customers such as luxury home builders and multi-family housing developers. Their diverse lineup caters to various lifestyles, from single-person households to dual-income couples.

For this exhibition, LG Electronics has more than doubled its display area compared to previous years. The company will host cooking demonstrations and wine tastings to showcase the value of SKS firsthand. Additionally, LG will participate in Fuorisalone, Milan's city-wide design event, to boost brand awareness for their premium built-in appliances.
