LG Electronics has unveiled its 2026 television (TV) lineup, featuring the LG OLED Evo.

The company aims to spearhead a new era in premium televisions with its latest organic light-emitting diode (OLED) models, boasting the brightest and most accurate colors to date, coupled with ultra-low reflection technology for unparalleled picture quality.

During a product showcase on Wednesday at a Best Shop in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, Baek Sun-pil, LG Electronics' Display Customer Experience (CX) chief, highlighted that the latest models deliver brightness levels about four times higher than previous versions, thanks to the new chipsets that merge existing OLED advantages with cutting-edge innovations like Hyper Bright Booster technology. LG Electronics has introduced its 2026 OLED TV Evo Series, equipped with an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) processor that pushes beyond the picture quality limitations of earlier models.

This year's premium OLED lineup from LG Electronics has significantly enhanced overall performance by incorporating the third-generation Alpha 11 processor, which integrates both picture quality engine and system functionalities.

Baek explained that rather than using generic chipsets from other manufacturers, they've developed a proprietary system-on-chip that encapsulates LG's expertise in picture quality, specifically for the high-end OLED products.

The new models maintain deep black levels crucial for display quality while achieving brighter images. Baek emphasized that for colors to truly pop, it's essential that black values in images don't wash out in bright scenes. The new products deliver the best picture quality, certified for perfect black and color accuracy, thanks to precise control.

LG Electronics has designed the OLED series to enhance picture quality in any indoor setting while addressing light reflection issues that can hinder viewing experiences.

Baek noted that to address customers' long-standing concerns about screens appearing washed out due to sunlight when watching TV during the day in homes with large windows, they've introduced Reflection-Free Premium technology. The new OLED series maintains vivid colors and deep blacks even in extremely bright environments.

Dual AI Engine Implementation Enhances Detail and Eco-Friendly Low Power Technology

The proprietary Alpha 11 processor maximizes AI computational capabilities, offering viewers unprecedented clarity.

The neural processing unit (NPU) performance has been boosted over five times, while central processing unit (CPU) performance has increased by more than 70%, providing robust computing power that unlocks the TV's full hardware potential.

The enhanced chipset performance is applied to 4K upscaling technology, bringing out intricate image details. Baek explained that the new chipset employs a dual AI engine that simultaneously processes the outlines and internal details of subjects, then integrates these elements to create a flawless image.

While achieving superior picture quality, LG Electronics has managed to reduce power consumption in its new products, also considering viewer health.

Baek stated that despite recent stringent power consumption standards in Europe and Russia, the new OLED's power usage is among the lowest, even compared to standard liquid crystal display (LCD) TVs.

He added that they've successfully created a high-efficiency OLED that produces brighter screens while consuming significantly less power. OLEDs are also officially certified as eye-friendly due to their lower blue light emissions.

Smarter, Personalized AI Platform Applied... Greatly Expanded Convenience

Alongside hardware improvements, LG Electronics has significantly expanded its smart platform with various AI convenience features to enhance user experience.

The Voice ID feature can recognize up to ten users' voices, automatically switching accounts and providing personalized screens tailored to each viewer's preferences.

The integration of generative AI into smart search and control features allows users to resolve issues effortlessly. Baek illustrated that if you can't recall a movie title, you can ask about the film where a ship hits an iceberg and sinks, and AI like Gemini will find it for you. Users can also inquire about product details or report screen brightness issues without checking labels, and the TV will respond with model information and offer to adjust picture settings.

Recognizing the sensitive nature of data handled by smart TVs, LG Electronics has bolstered its security measures. Baek stated that they've implemented our award-winning LG Shield security solution to maintain the highest level of protection. It safeguards personal identifications (IDs) and passwords across seven key areas, from data storage and transmission to user authentication.

The 2026 LG OLED TV lineup will be available in sizes ranging from 42 to 97 inches. Prices in South Korea are set at approximately 3.29 million to 3.79 million KRW (about 2,180 to 2,515 USD) for 65-inch models, 5.69 million to 8.70 million KRW (about 3,770 to 5,770 USD) for 77-inch models, and 7.90 million to 13 million KRW (about 5,240 to 8,630 USD) for 83-inch models.
